Senior/Lead Core Java Developer - FX Trading
Location: Hybrid (London Office)
Salary: Up to £130,000 + 25-50% Bonus
We are excited to partner with a leading securities and derivatives market infrastructure provider to find experienced Senior/Lead Core Java Developers who will play a critical role in developing a world-class FX trading platform.

The team focuses on building robust, high-performance systems from scratch, without relying on Java-related frameworks.
Role Overview
As a Senior/Lead Core Java Developer, you will:
- Work in a cloud-based environment, building microservices and collaborating with product and design teams to develop, deliver, and support client-driven projects.
- Spend the first few months as a Senior Developer before transitioning into a Lead Developer role.
- Design and optimize high-performance trading systems, focusing on speed, efficiency, and scalability.
- Contribute directly to the development of a world-leading FX trading platform.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery of business goals.
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Core Java development.
- Degree from a Russell Group university in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in optimizing performance, speed, and efficiency.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a development team.
- Experience working with AWS or GCP.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
