Lead Frontend Engineer | DeFi DEX | Montreux, Switzerland | Up to $130K USD
We're searching for a Lead Frontend Engineer to join a pioneering company in the decentralized exchange (DEX) space. This is a priority hire for an exclusive and exciting role, ideally set to wrap up by the end of 2024/ Early 2025.
About the Company
The company is revolutionizing decentralized finance (DeFi) by tackling key challenges such as transparency and impermanent loss across major blockchain networks like Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.
You would join a fast-growing team that is reshaping the future of digital asset trading and building solutions at the forefront of Web3.
In this newly created position, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of 4 talented frontend engineers, with potential team expansion (2+ hires) in the second half of 2025.
- Take full ownership of the frontend technical direction and roadmap, reporting directly to the CTO.
- Stay about 85% hands-on, working with cutting-edge technologies like React and TypeScript to drive scalability, performance, and modernization.
- Collaborate closely with backend teams across Europe to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading teams and driving technical excellence in frontend development.
- Frontend Expertise: Deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Web3/Blockchain Experience: Knowledge of DeFi, blockchain technologies, or DEX development is highly valued.
- Collaborative Spirit: Strong communicator who can inspire and grow a team.
- Hybrid Availability: Based in or willing to relocate near Lausanne, Switzerland, with 2-3 days/week in-office.
