Contract Length: 12 months

Day Rate: £400 Outside IR35

Understanding Solutions is looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to support a critical replatforming project for one of our public sector clients. You'll join a tech modernisation team tasked with transforming the company's platform and contributing to its evolution, ensuring it meets the demands of modern technology and public sector needs.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernise and replatform a critical public sector application.
• Develop scalable, robust solutions using Java, Spring, and Vue.js.
• Contribute to backend and frontend development, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues across the stack.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality results.

Experience Needed:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a strong understanding of Java and the Spring framework.
• Experience in modern frontend frameworks, particularly Vue.js.
• Experience with replatforming or modernisation projects in complex environments.
• A strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with public sector projects or regulated environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, ensuring effective teamwork.
