Key Responsibilities:
- Computational Modeling: Apply computational modeling techniques to predict molecular structures, properties, and interactions, guiding drug design and optimization efforts.
- Virtual Screening: Conduct virtual screening and molecular docking studies to identify promising drug candidates and optimize their binding affinities.
- Quantum Chemistry: Employ quantum chemistry methods to study chemical reactions, reaction mechanisms, and molecular energetics, providing insights into complex chemical processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with experimental chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to integrate computational chemistry into drug discovery projects and drive interdisciplinary innovation.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in computational chemistry roles, with a strong background in molecular modeling, quantum chemistry, and structure-based drug design.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in computational chemistry software and programming languages commonly used in molecular modeling, such as Schrödinger Suite, Gaussian, or CHARMM.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex molecular data and draw meaningful conclusions.
